Open Show and Versatility Competition Timetables 2008

The Versatility Competitions are growing in popularity. They are fun and cross all disciplines and ages. We decided to run ours the same day as our Open Shows in a separate ring. We would love for you to give us a try. Our obstacle courses are on the simple side while we ramp up into this sport. We look forward to your suggestions!

Show Dates: 5/17, 6/21, 7/12, 8/16, 9/20, Champion's Day is 10/11 (all Saturdays)

Class # 42 Lead Liner Versatility
Opent to children 5-7 years of age. Horse or pony to be lead by handler over 18 years of age. Handler assisting rider with obstacles will result in points removed. Obstacle course to include: dismounting and mounting with mounting block, walking through zigzags, 360 turn around, moving a pail from one barrel top to another and trotting poles.

Class #43 Youth Beginner Versatility
Open to riders 8-12 years of age who have been riding less than one (1) year. Obstacle Course to include: dismounting and mounting with mounting block, walking through zigzags, 360 turn around, moving a pail from one barrel top to another, open and close a mail box, open close rope gate, and trotting poles.

Class #44 Jr. Beginner Versatility
Open to riders 13-17 years of age who have been riding for less than a year. Obstacle Course to include: dismounting and mounting with mounting block, walking through zigzags, 360 turn around, moving a pail from one barrel top to another, open and close a mail box, open close rope gate, and trotting poles.

Class #45 Adult Beginner Versatility
Open to riders 18 years and over who have been riding for less than one year. Obstacle Course to include: dismounting and mounting with mounting block, walking through zigzags, 360 turn around, moving a pail from one barrel top to another, open and close a mail box, open close rope gate, and trotting poles.

Class #46 Youth Advanced Versatility
Open to riders 8-12 years of age who have been riding more than a year. Obstacle course to include: dismounting, leading over small jump, mounting with block, zigzags, tarp, 360 turn around, jump small fence, trot a barrel pattern, move pail from barrel to barrel, open and close rope gate, open and close mailbox and trot poles.

Class #47 Jr. Advanced Versatility
Open to riders 13-17 years of age who have been riding for more than one year. Course same as Class #46.

Class#48 Adult Advanced Versatility
Same as class #46.
