All jumper riders have 45 seconds to begin their rounds after the audible signal. We do not use a time allowed for each course. We don’t convert time penalties into faults.

Clear Round - The rider who has the fastest time with the least number of faults wins the class.

Power and Speed (Table II, Sec. 2c) This is a 2 phase competition with the first round and first jump off, if any, are decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for exceeding the time allowed., if any. If a competitor has gone clean in the 1st round, he will upon crossing the finish line commence the designated jump off course. Time starts as the horse crossed the finish line for the initial course. If there are no clean rounds and a tie exists for first place, there will be one jump-off in which time will decide in the event of equality of faults.

Timed First Jump Off (tbl II, sec. 2 b ) The first round and first jump off, if any, are decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for exceeding the time allows. If a competitor has gone clean in the first round, he will, without leaving the ring, upon an audible signal, commence with designated jump off course. If there are no clean rounds and a tie exists for first place, there will be one jump-off in which time will decide the winner.

Speed Round (tbl II sec 1 a) The first round is decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course with their time taken to complete the course. Cleanest and fastest wins.
